Invasive Species - Tintype Image Series
In the quiet of a January afternoon, my studio filled with flowers and fungi. Olivia arrived with three sculpted hats of her own making, each one a small universe. A daffodil, bright with the promise of spring. A dandelion, soft and airy, holding a thousand wishes. A mushroom, rich and grounded, paired with a collar by her partner Levi that felt pulled from a woodland dream.
Levi styled the looks with treasures from Wild Rabbit Vintage, each garment adding to the story. We worked slowly, letting the collodion flow and the silver do its work, until each plate revealed its ghostly image.
Tintype preserves more than a likeness. It holds a moment, a collaboration, and a bit of magic that will not fade.
